Your mission

As Senior DevOps Engineer, you’ll help shape the technical foundation that powers the Sdui Group’s products. You’ll evolve Pupil’s DevOps landscape, ensuring our systems remain secure, scalable, and reliable — so our development teams can focus on what matters most: building great software that transforms education.

What you’ll do

Lead and evolve automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure standards across assigned brands and teams
Ensure stability, scalability, and security of DevOps environments and delivery pipelines
Define and implement group-wide DevOps best practices, balancing local autonomy with global alignment
Establish reliable monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes
Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to streamline delivery workflows
Provide technical leadership and mentoring within DevOps teams, fostering knowledge sharing and growth
Drive continuous improvement and innovation in software delivery and operational efficiency
Contribute actively to group-wide DevOps initiatives and cross-brand governance

What you’ll bring

5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or related fields
Proven leadership experience in technical or cross-functional projects
Expertise in CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps
Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible)
Familiarity with monitoring/logging frameworks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
Cloud expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP
Understanding of IT governance, compliance, and security practices
Strategic thinker with a hands-on mindset and solution-oriented approach
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Fluency in both German and English, with the ability to work confidently in an international environment
Nice to have: Experience with Post-Merger Integration (PMI) or multi-brand environments

Where you’ll be

This role can be remote from Germany or hybrid from our office in St. Gallen, Switzerland.
Our Swiss team collaborates on site two to three days per week, while remote colleagues from Germany join in regularly — e.g. one week per quarter in St. Gallen to connect in person and stay close to the team.

Deine Mission

Als Senior DevOps Engineer gestaltest du die technologische Basis, auf der die Produkte der Sdui Group entstehen. Du verantwortest die Weiterentwicklung der DevOps-Struktur bei Pupil und sorgst dafür, dass unsere Systeme stabil, sicher und skalierbar bleiben – damit sich unsere Entwicklungsteams auf das konzentrieren können, was zählt: großartige Software für die Bildung von morgen.

Was dich erwartet

Verantwortung für die Weiterentwicklung von Automatisierung, CI/CD- und Infrastruktur-Standards in den zugeordneten Marken und Teams
Sicherstellung von Stabilität, Skalierbarkeit und Sicherheit der DevOps-Umgebungen und Deployment-Pipelines
Definition und Umsetzung gruppenweiter DevOps Best Practices – mit einem ausgewogenen Verhältnis zwischen lokaler Eigenverantwortung und globaler Abstimmung
Aufbau und Pflege verlässlicher Prozesse für Monitoring, Alerting und Incident Response
Enge Zusammenarbeit mit Engineering- und Produktteams, um Entwicklungs- und Bereitstellungsprozesse effizient zu gestalten
Technische Führung und Mentoring innerhalb der DevOps-Teams, um Wissenstransfer und Weiterentwicklung zu fördern
Kontinuierliche Verbesserung und Innovation in Softwarebereitstellung und operativer Effizienz vorantreiben
Aktive Mitarbeit an gruppenweiten DevOps-Initiativen sowie an übergreifender Governance

Was du mitbringst

Wo du arbeiten wirst

Diese Rolle kann remote aus Deutschland oder hybrid von unserem Büro in St. Gallen (Schweiz) ausgeübt werden.
Das Schweizer Team arbeitet zwei- bis dreimal pro Woche vor Ort, während unsere Kolleginnen und Kollegen aus Deutschland einmal pro Quartal für eine Woche in St. Gallen sind, um sich persönlich auszutauschen und nah am Team zu bleiben.
